Illustration Friday - Germs

I read a short story once, where the Earth was being overrun by deadly germs that needed to be eradicated. In the end, it was revealed that the germs were us.

  4. Great illo, and a great interpretation of the theme. Can you remember what the short story was, or who it was by? It sounds kinda familiar, but then it might just be familiar sounding Twilight Zone-y sort of idea.

    I like the illo, clean and sharp lines. The compostion is very cool, I like the sharp, angular protuberances reaching out to catch the aeroplane. It's reminiscent to me of an owl swooping down to snatch up a vole, or something similar. Great stuff. Would you ever put colour on it?

  5. Thanks Adam! Gosh it's been so long since I read it, it was in a collection of short stories compiled by Arthur C. Clarke I think...these aliens thought the cars on the freeway were blood vessels moving through arteries (which they do appear to be from the air!) and the people inside were viruses...
    Anyway I tend to stick with graphite, but once in awhile I'll add color.
